- Bring back workings and duties now writes each journey's duty into the TransXChange export, as well as its block number.
- Block numbers brought back from scheduling are always valid TransXChange.
- Also new this month: collaborate on a whole multi-file project, and blocks and duties shown in the timetable.
Plan your buses, right first time.
Schedulo is a family of desktop apps for UK bus operators and planners. Build and register TransXChange timetables, plan the buses and drivers that run them, and keep every copy properly licensed. All of it works on your own PC, with no servers to run and no accounts to create.
Three apps, one way of working.
Each Schedulo app does one job well and shares its work with the others, so a timetable registered in Schedulo TXC becomes the buses and duties in Schedulo Bus, and comes back again.
Version 0.5.6 · Windows and browser
Bus timetables, registered right first time.
Open, build, check and publish UK bus timetables in TransXChange 2.4 and 2.5, then see how they run with live punctuality from the Bus Open Data Service.

- UK PTI and BODS checks in plain English
- Live punctuality, maps and 22 print styles

- Drivers' duties under your working-time rules
- Optimise for the fewest buses and lowest cost
Version 0.2.0 · Windows

From registered timetable to the day's buses and back.
Your timetable stays the single source of truth. Schedulo Bus never edits journeys directly: the block numbers it plans travel back into the project through Schedulo TXC's "Bring back workings and duties", where they are checked before they are saved.
1. Timetable in Schedulo TXC
Build or import the services, route patterns, journeys and days of operation, and validate them. Save the project as an .ntsproj file.
2. Buses and duties in Schedulo Bus
Open the same project. Set running times, build the vehicle blocks, optimise them and cut the drivers' duties under your rules.
3. Bring back in Schedulo TXC
Save to the project and bring the workings and duties back. The block numbers reach the journeys, ready to export and publish.
Made for planners, built to be trusted.
Works on your own PC
Windows desktop apps, with no Schedulo server and no account to create. Your timetables and plans stay on your computer unless you choose to share them.
Says what's wrong in plain English
Validation and rule checks explain each problem and take you straight to the item concerned, instead of an error code.
Never invents data
Missing running times stay missing and are reported. Nothing is estimated unless you ask, and exports keep what you didn't change.
Plan together, live
Share your work with colleagues by a code and let them in with View, Edit or Full access. Schedulo TXC sessions are end-to-end encrypted and peer to peer.
Desktop and browser
Schedulo TXC also comes as one HTML file that runs in a browser with a double-click, and collaborates with the desktop app.
Licensed properly, offline
Each copy is unlocked with a signed licence key that names the products it covers. No licence server, and no internet needed to keep working.
Everyone who keeps the buses running.
Service planners
Build and change timetables quickly, see the effect straight away, and turn them into blocks and duties without retyping anything.
Registration staff
Send clean, schema-valid files that pass BODS checks first time, and get reminded before data expires.
Operators and schedulers
Watch punctuality live, handle disruptions, plan the day's buses and drivers, and print timetables and duty cards.
One brand, one licence system, more to come.
Schedulo TXC, Schedulo Bus and the Licence Manager are available today. The rest of the family is planned, and every product will share the same look and the same licence system.
Updated all the time.
Each Schedulo app checks for a newer version when it opens. Here's what the latest releases brought.
- Saving the planning also saves it into the Schedulo project, ready for bring-back.
- Each save is checked as Schedulo TXC will read it, with any problem explained.
- Trips show their journey codes, and unneeded empty runs can be deleted.
- One key can unlock several Schedulo products.
- Longer keys: 2 to 10 years, perpetual, or any custom length.
- Revoked keys published online, signed, for every app to pick up.
Take Schedulo with you.
Leaflets for each app, to print or pass round the office.
Made by Newey Transport Services.
Schedulo is a brand of Newey Transport Services. The same team designs and writes every app, answers your e-mails and issues your licence keys, so you always deal with the people who make the software.
Good to know
What computer do I need?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Schedulo TXC also has a browser version for computers where you can't run the app. The internet is only needed for maps, NaPTAN and BODS downloads, live punctuality and sharing beyond the office.
Do Schedulo TXC and Schedulo Bus work together?
Yes. Schedulo Bus opens Schedulo TXC's project files (.ntsproj) or TransXChange files, and saves its vehicle blocks and drivers' duties back into the project. Schedulo TXC's "Bring back workings and duties" then writes each journey's block number and duty into the TransXChange it exports.
How do I get a licence key?
E-mail Licence@schedulo.uk. We send you a key, or a licence file, for the product you need. Paste it in on first start and you're ready to go. Keys can run for a set time, to the end of the financial year, or be perpetual, and one key can cover several Schedulo products.
Where is my data kept?
On your own computer. There's no Schedulo server and no account. When you work together, changes go straight between your computers: Schedulo TXC sessions are end-to-end encrypted, and Schedulo Bus is shared from the host's computer by a join code.
Will my files still work in other software?
Yes. Schedulo TXC reads and writes standard TransXChange 2.4 and 2.5, checks exports against the official schema, and keeps everything it doesn't edit exactly as it was.
Can you show me before I commit?
Of course. Ask for a demonstration through the form below and we'll arrange a time that suits you.
Ready to plan smarter?
